MY STORY
I began my career in 2014 as a radio announcer, leveraging Twitter to engage with our audience and boost listenership. This experience taught me the value of audience engagement and social media management in marketing, reinforcing my belief that paying attention to the audience drives meaningful connections and results.
After graduating, I spent a year teaching English in Haikou, China, documenting my experience through a YouTube channel and promoting it via Instagram. With minimal equipment and no editing software, I created content that still garners engagement today, averaging 7,000 hours of watch time per week. This experience deepened my understanding of organic audience growth, content strategy, and digital storytelling.
Now, as the Marketing and Communications Manager, I lead branding, digital marketing, internal communications, and content creation strategies that strengthen our company culture and industry presence.
I oversee paid and organic campaigns, manage our company magazine, website, and social media, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent, engaging messaging across all channels. I also guide our Internal Communications Specialist and Graphic Designer/Social Media Specialist in executing communication strategies that align with our brand and business goals.
I believe effective marketing isn't just about selling—it's about listening. By understanding the needs of our audience—whether it’s employees, customers, or industry peers—marketing becomes a tool for providing real value. in my current role, I apply this approach to build trust, enhance brand recognition, and support business growth.
