PKD Foundation

The PKD Foundation is a national non-profit organization headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. Their mission is to give hope, fund research, advocate for patients, and build a community for all impacted by PKD (polycystic kidney disease). They are the only organization in the United States that focuses specifically on PKD.

As the Marketing Specialist for close to three years, one of my main responsibilities was building and managing their social media presence.

LET'S TALK

Let's Talk is a Youtube channel that focuses on natural hair and wellness.

I was diagnosed with alopecia in 2016, an autoimmune disease that causes the immune system to attack the hair follicles, resulting in hair loss. There are a lot of factors that can cause this disease; stress and nutrition being two. Though there are treatment options, there is no cure. I realized to stop my hair from falling out, I would have to make changes to my lifestyle and implement an all-around better wellness routine.

I created Let's Talk for the natural hair community. It's a channel for those who want guidance in their natural hair journey and internal tips that helped me control hair loss and promote healthy hair.​

LADYBIRD STYLING

Ladybird specializes in transformational personal styling. Owned and operated by and for women, Ladybird teaches a unique method for finding and developing an authentic personal style. 

Founder Molly Bingaman, trained by Stacy London of TLC's What Not to Wear, founded Ladybird with the bold intent of changing the way people see themselves, their style, and the world around them. began teaching fledgling style seekers the ropes of how to recover their sense of self by using their sense of style.

And just like that, Ladybird was born.

Ten years later, and with a team of compassionate style, hair & makeup experts lending their skills and joining the cause, Ladybird has helped countless hundreds of women (and men) find their expressive style. Working out of a renovated bus depot, Ladybird's styling studio is a 4,000 square foot love hub, where women can be comfortably themselves and surrounded by others who get them.
